Blockchain Promise, Money, Multi-Nodal Decentralised Networks & DAO.
Is the blockchain tsunami coming?
Yes it is, the promise or hope is that blockchain will be able to deliver true disruption to conventional commerce and spawn global innovation, from finance to apps, to organisations.
Bitcoin is evolving with BIP148, what will happen?
I will keep this blog generic because of the speed of blockchain adoption and scope is accelerating. From currencies and digital assets, tokens and platforms to killer apps. Blockchain passports? We are seeing biometric enrollment platforms, combination of facial and audio imprinting and authentication, decentralised networks, hundreds of chains starting. There is a certain science fiction aspect as technology develops at a exponential rate, blockchains have a certain appeal. The building of data upon blocks, stacked and immutable has a great many applications.
Projects like, Golem enabling you to rent out your computational usage while your computer is idle and Siacoin enabling you to rent out hard drive space are amazing conceptually and seeing them come to full market will really change the world. Blockchains and decentralisation are fundamental aspects of building robust and secure economies. There are many interesting and amazing promises in the blockchain space. We can see that with a market capitalisation at 110 billion.
Bitcoin broke $3000 USD this is great and as predicted with a small pull back as was expected. Ethereum is approx $380 USD and the rest of the assets have all grown. Being a very speculative space and one that changes so quickly we will continue to see this while the market moves according to informational surges, adoption and investment. There will be huge increases in many blockchain assets ones that don't even exist yet as market adoption and other killer apps, DAPS and DOA's are formed.
The ability to crowd fund via ICO's is exciting and will not only slipstream capital raising but allow startups with the right vision and team to revolutionise industries, exciting platforms such as Aragon network will change the business space in ways not seen yet.
My expectations are that all currencies will pull back slightly for a consolidation moment of a few days then will continue to ramp up again as money continues to flow into this area. The kicker will be mainstream payment channel adoption for the start up revolution to hit. Once fast multi directional transactions are mainstream with apps and various currencies, this digital asset space will explode into growth. Meanwhile happy Bitcoin-ing :)
